Betty Christie has an exhibition running in Dublin at present. She is showing 28 pastels, watercolours and mixed media paintings at Phoenix Park Visitors’ Centre Gallery, Phoenix Park, Dublin 8, from 3rd July until 30th July. The gallery is familiar to the Pastel Society, who exhibited there in the spring of 2008, and is situated in a prime location, within a very attractive courtyard setting, adjoining a little restaurant, with views across the park if you sit upstairs. Farmleigh Gallery is nearby.
For anyone else who might be interested in showing their work in Phoenix Park, the. person to contact is Margaret McGuirk, whose e-mail address is:
Betty also has another exhibition running in Scotland. She is also showing 9 watercolours in the summer group show of the Leftbank Gallery, Kircudbright (“the Artists’ Town”), Scotland, a new gallery opened there by Emma Moore, formerly of the Basement Gallery, Enniskillen……see website:
Emma is also selling ceramics, basketware, textiles and other craft items, just as she did when in Enniskillen, and the town is full of other art galleries, as well as an exhibition of the work of The Glasgow Boys in the town hall for July and August, if anyone is passing through Galloway and Dumfries this summer.
