Bradbury Exhibition

Please note the submission day for the members exhibition in the Bradbury Gallery is Saturday 19th November, between 9.30 and 11AM.  We would like artists who plan to submit to send David Sweet an entry form with titles along with a handling fee of £5 per painting.  The deadline for this was 1st November, however only 7 artists (11 paintings) have their return in by 31st October.  For the exhibition to be successful we need around 50 paintings from members.  WE HAVE EXTENDED THE DEADLINE FOR ENTRY FORMS UNTIL 7th NOVEMBER.

Please send your entry forms as soon as possible.  We can’t rely on waiting until submission day to find out how many works are to be submitted.  If there are less than 50 the gallery will need to be informed so that alternative arrangements can be made to fill the wall space!

Death of Wilson Barron

It is my sad duty to inform members of the death of one of our founder members, Wilson Barron on 18th October 2011.

His daughter Liz informed me that she would be happy to see any of the members of the Pastel Society of Ireland who knew Wilson at his funeral at Roselawn on Friday 21st at 11AM.

Wilson will be remembered fondly and our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.  Rest in Peace.
