David Sweet’s daughter Lara has been busying herself producing handmade pastel boards for her dad. She is willing to take this on for any pastel society members who do not have the time to make their own. 22 x 30 ” Daler and Rowney boards cost £4.00 to buy. Acrylic and pumice are provided by her dad for £4.00. Lara charges £2.50 per large board to coat them evenly twice in alternate directions to give an excellent finely grained surface that holds pastel well, leaving an even 1cm outside rim. For £30 you can have 4 22×30″ boards or eight 11×15″ (approx) boards prepared to an excellent standard. Pick up via dad or alternatively postage within the UK approx £8.00.
